7th Azores International Advanced School in Space Sciences

Practical information
The school will take place in Angra do Heroísmo, a town in the island of Terceira, and a UNESCO world heritage site since 1983. The island's airport is Terceira-Lajes (IATA code TER). Your arrival and departure days should be Monday 2 and Sunday 8 September respectively. The school will start ca. 9am on Tuesday 3 and will finish ca. 5:30pm on Saturday 7.

The school's scientific activities will take place at Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Angra do Heroísmo, Canada Nova de Santa Luzia nº 1, 9700-130 Angra do Heroísmo. The public activities will take place at other venues. Further information on accommodation, social events etc. will be provided to school participants in due course.

All students must pay a fee of 300 Euro, not later than 30 June. As a minimum, the fee will cover the welcome reception, coffee breaks and school dinner. Due to the nature of the Portuguese funding system, the outcome of some of our funding applications (and therefore our final budget) will only be known close to the school dates. All our leftover (unassigned) funds will be used to pay student accommodation. Those offered places will receive updated information as soon as it is available.
