The PAU Survey

Francisco J. Castander

Abstract
The PAU Camera (PAUCam) is a wide field imaging instrument that can be installed as a visitor instrument in the prime focus of the William Herschel Telescope at La Palma. The camera is equipped with 40 narrow band filters and six broad band filters (ugrizY). We are using PAUCam to conduct the PAU Survey.
Currently, we have imaged ~50 deg2 in fields with good deep broad band imaging. With the 40 narrow band photometry we are able to determine precise photometric redshifts that we can used in combination with the lensing measurement for a variety of projects. In this talk I will review the performance of the camera, and the status and first results of the survey.
