Abstract
A four million solar mass black hole lies embedded in a 25 million solar mass nuclear star cluster at the centre of the Milky Way. In this talk I will review, from an observer´s viewpoint, some aspects of the interaction between the star cluster and the black hole, Sagittarius A*: (1) Short-period orbits of stars around the black hole. (2) Upcoming attempts to measure GR effects near Sagittarius A* with stellar dynamics. (3) The stellar cusp around the black hole, that arises due to the statistical interaction of the entire cluster with the black hole.
