Angular distribution of cosmological parameters as a measurement of spacetime inhomogeneities

Abstract
We propose a method to measure the inhomogeneity of the large-scale structure and cosmic acceleration based on the measurement of the angular distribution on the sky of cosmological parameters. We demonstrate the method on the JLA SN data set and hence consider the parameters that affect the luminosity distance. We also derive the analytical extra positive acceleration for a toy model of an arbitrary number of disjoint, homogeneous regions and compute the overall deceleration parameter. We conclude that, for the toy model considered, backreaction generates insignificant extra acceleration, which renders it an unviable dynamical mechanism to emulate cosmic acceleration.
