Abstract
The dominant mechanism transforming late-type galaxies to S0s in galaxy clusters remains controversial and it is unclear whether the mechanism is the same for all redshifts, cluster types and cluster centric radii. An important aspect of these questions is the mechanism(s) by which cold gas (HI and molecular gas) is removed from cluster late-type galaxies. The talk will consider some of the proposed mechanisms for removing cold gas from late type galaxies and their predicted signatures in comparison to observations from the merging cluster Abell 1367.
