Abstract
One of the problems facing modern cosmology concerns the accelerated expansion of the Universe, for which we still lack a theoretical explanation (which satisfies us). Within the context of General Relativity, accelerated expansion can be achieved by adding a new ingredient in the energy budget of the Universe, often referred to as dark energy. A different approach to the problem is to modify the law of gravity by describing the Universe at large scales. I will focus on a specific modified gravity model called the Extended Galileon. I will show its implementation it in the Einstein Boltzman code EFTCAMB and I will show some preliminary results about its cosmological implications.
