The Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) is a research infrastructure with a national dimension. It embodies a bold vision for the development of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Sciences in Portugal, taking full advantage and fully realizing the potential created by the national membership of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
Currently is the biggest research unit of this area in Portugal, hosting more than two-thirds of all active researchers working in Space Sciences in Portugal.

The IA-ON4 meeting marks another internal annual meeting of the IA team, where the progress of the research, outreach, and management activities will be discussed. With the participation of all IA members, IA-ON4 will be a major opportunity to discuss the IA’s strategy and make further improvements, as well as to foster synergies between IA groups across all activity areas.
