Athena-WFI Consortium Meeting

The next Athena-WFI Consortium Meeting takes place in Lisbon, between the 20th and 22nd November 2018.

Aims of the meeting
The Wide Field Imager (WFI) is one of two scientific instruments for Athena, ESA's next large X-ray observatory with launch in the early 2030ies. In this 8th meeting of the international WFI Consortium, we will bring together the experts from the consortium member institutes to discuss the development status of the instrument and its various subsystems. Other topics include the WFI science goals, the optimization of the instrumental background as well as the preparation for the Instrument Science Centre.
