Abstract
Since the establishment of the theorems on singularities in the 70's, a great deal of effort have been made within gravitational physics to clarify their meaning and to find regular space-times (singularity-free). In this talk I will explain how space-time singularities can be resolved within the context of the Palatini approach to modified gravity in simple, clean and robust scenarios without any ad hoc constraint. Our results provide a explicit example where a space-time can be non-singular despite the generic divergence of curvature scalars.
