Abstract
Constraining free parameters in the existing stellar models has always been a challenging task. The high degree of non-linearity involved in these models implies that many regimes of solution to the estimation problem may exist. Monte Carlo Markov Chain algorithm are stochastic sampling algorithms considered as being robust against non-linear model. I will introduce briefly the general concepts involved in these algorithms. Pratical cases of stellar modelling will then be discussed.
