Abstract
The Ursa Major (UMa) group is a nearby (<100pc) young (~300Myrs) moving group. Although its members are very interesting to search for and characterize sub-stellar companions by direct imaging, the UMa group has not yet been addressed as a whole. Our project looks for all close and faint companions of UMa group members within 30pc using coronagraphic imaging with NAOS/CONICA at the ESO VLT. The observations and the sample are described in more detail. Preliminary results are presented and complemented by a literature study of the overall multiplicity of UMa group members.
