Abstract
SWATNet is an H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Network (ITN). The project brings together nine beneficiaries (including the University of Coimbra) and seven partner organisations from eight European countries, each with complementary and world-leading expertise. This ITN will hire 12 doctoral candidates and provide them with high-quality training in cutting-edge research projects, with an exceptional set of transferable skills and the opportunity to work with renowned research/academic institutes and companies in the field.
The scientific projects deal with analysing, modelling, and forecasting solar activity, conditions in the corona and heliosphere, and space weather at Earth. The students will use state-of-the-art research methodologies, such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and develop and validate advanced new tools and models.
Frequent network-wide activities will allow students to develop their research skills in an international environment and interact with other young scientists.
