Abstract
The sterile neutrino is a viable warm dark matter candidate. Photons, which are produced during its decay, enhance ionization of the IGM, leading to increases in the molecular and ionized fractions, which in turn can leave imprints on the CMB radiation. I will discuss this effect in the context of sterile neutrinos with a mass of a few KeV.
