Abstract
iSpec is a Python-based spectroscopic analysis tool that provides built-in data cleaning analysis for spectroscopy, as well as automized routines for parameter retrieval and abundance determination through a highly-customisable, user-friendly approach, including built-in routines for equivalent width analysis and spectral synthesis. In this Cookie Seminar, we will offer an example of what iSpec can do with just a few lines of code through the calculation of the cross-correlation function of raw spectra with a user-defined line list, useful for most spectroscopist astronomers. This can be used for radial velocity corrections, radial velocity curves, to identify binarity, or even to check if a raw spectrum has been corrected for barycentric velovity.
