Abstract
We discuss ongoing projects focusing on the characterization of the two 'dark components' of our universe, known as dark energy and dark matter. For the former we focus on its equation of state and its possible time evolution, while for the latter we consider a scenario in which it would drive the variation of fundamental constants in our Galaxy.
