Abstract
Topological defects emerge from spontaneous symmetry breakings in particle physics, during the phase transitions. We will revisit the analytic model of the evolution of cosmic strings networks, specifically the velocity-dependent one-scale model. By considering specific solutions, we will discuss the radiation-matter and matter-dark energy transitions influence on these networks.
