Abstract
For a long time, the exploration of strange new worlds was possible only through imagination. Recently, however, science has caught up over fiction with the development of satellites, rovers and space stations. It is often science the source behind famous sci-fi movies, as science and fiction are mutually linked.
In this spirit, I had the opportunity to bring science to the public in an unconventional environment where I could share my current work and also interact face-to-face with people who had come for sci-fi and were naturally curious by the real science behind it. During this trip, more than 72 000 people came to Fantasy Basel, where they interacted with scientists and researchers who provided insights on the world of Space and Planetary Sciences. With this initiative, teenagers, science fans, families and even students discovered how science can be even more fascinating than science-fiction.
In this talk, I will speak about my adventure in this event and my experience in bringing my work to all type of audiences.
