Abstract
This month, the NIRPS (Near Infrared Planet Searcher) spectrograph began operations at ESO's 3.6m telescope, at La Silla Observatory. This new spectrograph aims to detect Earth-like planets around M-dwarf and to provide further characterisation of their hosts. In this Cookie Seminar, we will present the NIRPS spectrograph, as it may be one of the instruments that will help you achieve your research goals. We will provide an overview of its capabilities, main research objectives, reduction pipelines, and early performance evaluations.
