Abstract
Ultra-high resolution spectrographs have enabled us to derive very precise stellar atmospheric parameters. However, the majority of stars are observed in lower resolutions. Which techniques can we use to obtain the maximum information from spectra without losing accuracy in medium resolution? How are the accuracy and precision of stellar parameters affected when resolution degrades? I will address these issues by comparing results from high (HARPS, UVES) and medium-resolution spectra (GIRAFFE) for a sample of benchmark stars.
