Cancellation requests must be submitted via email (tasc8-kasc15@iastro.pt) to the LOC (use the subject line ‘cancellation request’).

Fees will be refunded according to the following policy:

  • 50% refund until 1 July 2024, when late registration payment closes.
  • No refund from 2 July 2024 onwards.
Organizers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.

Financial support
A limited number of registration fee waivers (on-site participation) are available for students, sponsored by the White Dwarf Research Corporation (WDRC). Award of a waiver is conditional on students presenting a result (poster or talk) at the conference. Instructions on how to apply for a waiver will be sent out by email after registering.

Online participation
Online participants may submit abstracts for online-only posters (talks and physical posters require on-site participation). A dedicated channel will be set up on the conference’s Slack workspace for online interactions and Q&A.
