Venue
The conference will take place at Vila do Conde's town theatre (Teatro Municipal de Vila do Conde, Av. Dr. João Canavarro, 4480 – 668 Vila do Conde).

At the back of the venue (Av. Dr. Artur da Cunha Araújo) there is a parking lot that charges 1€/day.

How to reach Vila do Conde
To travel between Porto airport and Vila do Conde the cheapest option is to take the metro. Alternatively you can take a taxi or rent a car.

The airport's metro station is located just in front of the arrivals zone. The journey will take 30 minutes without considering the waiting time. You can take any metro departing from the aiport station (purple line). You then leave the metro at the second station (Verdes) and go to the next platform, to take the red line taking any train going to Póvoa de Varzim. Finally you leave either at Santa Clara or at Vila do Conde station. (The two are roughly at the same distance from the conference venue, but if you're going to your hotel one may be closer than the other – check the map below.)

Before beginning your journey, you should buy a Blue ANDANTE card (0,60€) and recharge it with a Z3 title (1,50€). This ticket can contain several titles of the same type, but it only can be used by one person each time. You should always validate the Blue ANDANTE card not only when your journey starts but also when you change line or transport. To avoid a fine use the existent validators in the stations of metro. Get the ANDANTE closer to the validator an if it lights green, the validation is correct.

When you arrive in Vila do Conde you will need to walk approximately 13 minutes from the metro station to Av. Dr. João Canavarro.

If you prefer a more comfortable way to get to Vila do Conde, you can always take a taxi or rent a car. However, the travel between Porto airport and Vila do Conde will be more expensive.
