Possible explanations for the abundance trends with condensation temperature
Elisa Delgado Mena
After the first planets discovered, astronomers have been trying to search for chemical signatures of planet formation on the planet-host stars. Several studies suggested that the chemical abundance trend with the condensation temperature, Tc, is a signature of terrestrial planet formation. However, rocky material accretion is by far not the only explanation for the Tc-trend and the real astrophysical nature of this correlation is still up to debate. I will discuss the effects of Galactic chemical evolution on the Tc trends and its dependence on the stellar age and Galactic birth place.
