Abstract
Comparing X-ray data to optical data of Orion CTTS, a dependency is found between the X-ray soft band emission, hardness ratio and the optical veiling which indicates that the accretion columns and the accretion shock are important features for the X-ray formation in the low temperature regime and/or that the infalling material thermalizes coronal X-ray emission.
