Abstract
We will discuss some of the main issues of gravitational actions in the context of extended theories of gravity for Lagrangians whose argument is the inverse of the d'Alembertian acting on the scalar curvature. Finally, we shall present the detailed procedure in order to extract the density contrast equation in the multi-potential local picture and the reliability of the standard quasi-static limit.
