Biographic Notes
Lara Sousa is a researcher at IA. She was awarded a first degree in Physics/Applied Mathematics (Astronomy) by the University of Porto in 2006, a Master degree in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces by Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (London) in 2007, and a PhD by the University of Porto in 2011. She is a member of IA since 2015.

Current research interests focus on Cosmology. In particular, she works on the dynamics and cosmological consequences of topological defect networks, with special focus on the characterization of the observational imprints of cosmic (super)strings. She is currently a member of the LISA mission.
